Cockroach Prevention Prep Sheet
Cockroaches are not easy to control, but we can work together as a team to control this problem in your home. The more thorough your preparation, the more effective the treatment process. Several treatments may be required before control is achieved.
Please complete the following pre-treatment preparations:
- Primary Area: Kitchen & Bathrooms – empty cabinets & drawers; place items on countertops or table and cover with a sheet or tarp
- Secondary Areas: Living Room, Bedroom, Hallway & Closet – please ensure Technician has access to all Baseboard and Window frames
- Remove covers from electrical outlets in high activity area
- Remove all items from top of refrigerator and stove/oven
- Clean up spilled food; throw out any contaminated food
- Move all furnishing away from walls (access to all baseboards)
- Pick up any children’s toys, clothing, and all items from the floors
- Discard any severely infected items
Note: All persons and pets must be out of the premises for a minimum of 6 hours. Children 2-year-old and under, persons who are pregnant or who have breathing problems must remain out of the home for at least 24-hours after treatment.
As part of any good pest management program, the above noted steps are necessary to achieve the greatest possible control. If these have not been followed, we may have to reschedule treatment for which a service fee will be charged.
RECOMMENDATIONS:
✓ All food processing surfaces and utensils should be covered before treatment or thoroughly washed following treatment.
✓ Cover exposed food or remove from area being treated.
**It is very important for the chemical to remain until the problem goes away. DO NOT use wet wipes or wash the cupboards, drawers, or close to the baseboards. It is ok to sweep and vacuum close to baseboards but DO NOT wet mop. Please stay approximately 12 inches from baseboards while morning.
