Before the treatment
Move furniture and other items away from the baseboards if you can.
Open the blinds and take down the curtains.
Vacuum all carpeted areas.
Outside, move sporting equipment, toys, bikes, lawn equipment and anything else away from the foundation of the home.
Time out of the home
Everyone, including pets, leaves the home for 4 to 5 hours after the treatment. Anyone pregnant or with breathing problems stays out for 24 hours.
After the treatment
- The longer the treatment stays in place, the more effective it is. When you mop, stay about 12 inches away from the baseboards.
If these steps have not been followed, the treatment may have to be rescheduled and a service fee charged.
