The short answer

Prepare if needed
The gel needs nothing. The spray needs the kitchen and bathrooms cleared, per the checklist.
First treatment
Gel, powder and dust, or spray, powder and dust, in every area cockroaches use.
Second treatment
We come back three weeks later for the second treatment. Until the problem is gone, do not wash cupboards or near the baseboards.
Before and after your visit.
For the spray treatment, all people and pets stay out of the home for 4 to 5 hours. Children aged 2 and under, anyone pregnant and anyone with breathing problems stay out for at least 24 hours.
Cover or remove exposed food, and cover food preparation surfaces and utensils before treatment or wash them after.
After the treatment
- Leave the treatment in place until the problem is gone. Do not use wet wipes or wash the cupboards, drawers or the floor near the baseboards.
- Sweeping and vacuuming near baseboards is fine. When you mop, stay about 12 inches away from the baseboards.

How long does it take to get rid of cockroaches?
